Spider-Man Returns: Everything We Know About Spider-Man: Brand New Day

After the world-altering events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland is swinging back into action for his fourth solo film, now officially titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The highly anticipated movie has entered production and is set to arrive in theaters on July 31, 2026.

Production and Filming

Principal photography for the film began in August 2025, with early shooting taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, and soundstage work happening at Pinewood Studios in England. Tom Holland has been actively involved in the creative process this time around, expressing a desire to deliver a film that truly honors the character and the fans.  The actor recently shared a “first look” at a new Spider-Man suit on social media to mark the start of filming.

The film is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for his work on Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, taking over from previous director Jon Watts.

Following the conclusion of No Way Home, where everyone forgets Peter Parker, this new film is expected to be a “fresh start” for the character. We will likely see a more mature Peter Parker navigating life on his own as a college student and potentially working at the Daily Bugle, as seen in the comics.

The movie is slated to be a pivotal part of Marvel’s Phase 6, serving as the final solo film before the next two Avengers movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
